At last a pretty good looking example of a digital picture frame. I have been keeping an eye on these for a while but haven’t really seen anything that doesn’t look like so cheap, nasty, and well, plain ugly. What is whit these crap futuristic looking designs? To me they just say knacker.
Anyway, help is at hand from the folks at Smartpants Products. They are releasing a decent looking 8.4 inch viewable LCD picture frame complete with walnut surround.
Photograph taken in Hampi, India while they were filming for a Bollywood film. These photos will be coming soon to a paradineshift photopage near you.
Now that looks pretty good eh? And I think that at 8 odd inches viewable it is probably enough for your average desk or wall display. The remote is a nice touch, but I think I would prefer a touch screen – next year maybe? It doesn’t come with any on-board memory but has a reader for all slots so you just plug in your crappy small 32MB card that came with your camera and you are away.
A steal at $200 US. You can perhaps appease your Western consumption guilt by playing only picture of people in the third world.
