So there is an awful lot happening around the world at the moment isn’t there? I have been avoiding the news media in nearly every form since breaking the habit. Looking back it seemed an addiction like anything else, and one that I broke when I cut the interweb’s umbilical as the plane left Singapore bound for India.
I feel now like a news anonymous member. “It has been 10 months since I touched a news browser!”
Of course it’s not true. I’ve fallen off the wagon a few times. I haven’t really been actively looking at the news sites, but I have come across articles now and again, and am always bombarded by today’s news snippets anyway. Google has me pegged. I best get onto the google analytics blocking for surfing on laptop (I have no WiFi card for my desktop yet).
So I have certainly been peripherally aware of the goings on, while concentrating my reading efforts on interesting or life affirming articles, rather than the alternatives. I have enjoyed the change in information that has been entering my consciousness.
I think this is a positive thing.
PS. I did hear about Pluto!
