  1. Nice simple little tester. Thanks for posting it.

Download Speed: 5903 kbps (737.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 735 kbps (91.9 KB/sec transfer rate)

and that’s with fighting through the rest of the 100 other folks here, and a few firewalls.

Maybe next I’ll try VM in the DMZ.

  2. Download Speed: 450 kbps (56.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 356 kbps (44.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
    Latency: 150 ms

Have complained several times, no luck.

  3. Remember that the speed of you connection is dependent on your plan with your ISP. Often the easiest way to increase the speeds is simply to upgrade to the next fastest plan.

The latency of 150ms is probably a bigger issue. I fixed my persistent latency 150+ issues when my Telus ADSL modem died and I got a new one – I had through the issue was the WiFi/Router and surprised to find that the relatively dump ADSL modem was the culprit. Solid 50ms these days.
